The new BMW K1600 got a refresh for 2022. Boasting a new ECU and widebands, along with the same great engine. But with a new bike comes new problems, and the K1600 is no exception. Based on customer complaints and our own, in-house testing, we have modified the following to make the new K1600 as it should have been from the factory.
- Top speed limiter removed (we are the only tuner successfully removing this to date!)
- More power over part and full throttle curve
- Complete throttle de-restriction
- Fueling adjustments at part and full load for maximum performance
- FTCL (full-time closed loop) wideband based fueling integrated into tuning

HOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH THIS WITH STAGE 1?
- Extensive research and development has allowed us to make more power with this platform. Not only are we making more power but we are also revising ECU tables to make the bike safer and more reliable for those long trips where having issues isn't an option.
- We left no stone unturned in our Stage 1 development and spent hours, days, and months to perfect the product with endless R&D.
- The air/fuel ratio has been carefully measured in testing with the other changes we've made optimizes your K1600 for peak performance and reliability. We utilize the factory equipped widebands to constantly monitor and change fueling as you ride. Any elevation, temp or atmospheric condition will be accounted for. Perfect for those long trips through the mountains and valley's. The fueling will stay perfect.
- The K1600 has active ignition map. The point to this is to ensure your bike runs at peak performance and reliability, even when bad fuel is present. Bad fuel would be defined as a fuel that has lower than advertised octane, old fuel that's been sitting in the bike that has now going bad, or a forgetful user that just pumped incorrect octane fuel at the gas station. With our extensive R&D process we've been able to optimize the ignition map to not only add more power to your K1600, but also make sure that if bad fuel is present, the motorcycle will still maintain its reliability.
- With the changes in fueling and ignition, there is a noticeable difference in keeping the bike cooler and more consistent with power.
- Torque limit tables in dynamic mode have all been raised to give you maximum performance.
- Expect large increases in low-end and mid-range throttle response through 100% direct throttle opening in different riding mode.
- After testing, we have mapping available for aftermarket exhaust systems along with the stock system.
